DELAND'S PREMIERE CHARITABLE
LADIES SOCIAL GROUP
We are a growing community of Deland's finest ladies, with more than 160 members. The Krewe of Amalee was organized in 1996 by five enterprising and influential women of Deland as a support for the Cultural Arts Center. They established and hosted an elaborate ball on February 9, 1997. In 1999, the Krewe of Barkalee (which is a Krewe of dogs, hosted by the Krewe of Amalee) introduced Mardi Gras on Mainstreet. This full day of feastivals includes a large dog parade downtown and after party on Indiana. Throughout the year we throw many social and charitable events. Annually, we attend a members trip in a different US city, the dog parade and Krewe Ball - all events not to miss! Also, hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised and donated to charity. Membership is opened up annually in the early Spring. If you are interested in joining, please connect with one of our current members for more information.

Community
The Krewe of Amalee's membership is a community of Deland ladies looking to come together for fun and charity. As a group, we come together to create a bond of amazing women in our community. Annualy, we go on a trip somewhere across the United States. Locally, we have donated hundred of thousands of dollars to help our community.

Mardi Gras Ball
The Krewe of Amalee annually has created one of the most notable madri gras balls in Florida. All of the members, their dates and lucky guests come together in a grand celebration of mardi gras. It is an unforgettable night not to be missed!
One of the ways the Krewe of Amalee contributes to the community annually is through the Dog Parade. Thousands of dogs and their human owners alike come out Downtown to celebrate at a Parade like non other. If you have not yet partaken, make next year the time to check out this amazing event!
